The Studio
After spending many weekends in Upstate New York to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City, partners in life and work Nik Vekić and Quinn Marquardt were lucky enough to find their own little slice of the Catskills in the Fall of 2016. Deeply inspired by the unique architecture and landscape of the area, in 2019 they co-founded ICDT Studio, which specializes in renovations and ground-up construction of thoughtful and entirely unique homes that pair bucolic styling with modern conveniences.
The Studio’s name comes from Nik and Quinn’s shared experience with unique and challenging-to-pronounce last names. To celebrate and honor their heritage, they incorporated their “unpronounceable” endings, putting them front and center. In this way, the name reflects their shared commitment to embracing individuality and creating something truly distinctive.
ICDT Studio collaborates with local contractors and tradespeople to craft each project with care, ensuring their work is designed and engineered to endure for generations. Everything from the placement of the structure to the turnkey interiors is meticulously planned to provide joy and respite for years to come.
Nik Vekić
Co-Founder
Nik Vekić is a Parsons-trained architectural designer. Following extensive experience with leading New York City-based architecture and interior design firms, Nik established his own firm, NV Design, in 2013. NV Design is an interior and architectural design studio that transforms exceptional New York City residences. Known for seamlessly blending high end design with architectural precision and ease of process, NV Design has earned a reputation as a trusted partner for New York families and interior designers alike.
As co-founder of ICDT, Nik brings not only his technical architectural expertise in drafting, elevations and plans, but his ability to imagine the ideal footprint, orientation and flow of a home.
Quinn Marquardt
Co-Founder
Quinn Marquardt, a graduate of New York University’s Studio Art program, gained expertise overseeing commercial renovation projects in prominent NYC galleries and artists’ studios. After discovering the potential in reviving homes in Upstate New York, Quinn and his husband Nik founded ICDT Studio in 2019, with Quinn managing the business side while sourcing historical, vintage, and contemporary furnishings for the interiors of each home. Pairing high and low, his focus on intelligent and comfortable interiors is complemented by his passion for art and styling.
Splitting their time between the Catskills and New York City with their rescue dog, Buddy, Quinn and Nik's design-build company is committed to creating one-of-kind residential properties that are effortlessly refined and instantly feel like home.
